On Wednesday, January 19th, the White House announced another historic nomination for American Muslims. The Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) congratulates Nusrat Jahan Choudhury on her nomination to serve as a federal judge in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Muslim-Jewish-Christian faith leaders, convened on Eid al-Fitr for a special interfaith event amidst rising tensions in the Middle East. This event, pinned to the Muslim celebration of Eid to conclude the month Ramadan, was shadowed by the recent violence and violation of religious freedom and human rights for worshipers at al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
