For a federal government that is meant to serve all Americans, we can not ignore Muslim Americans. We fear that the appointment of John Gibbs will bully out diversity from the Office of Personnel Management and create a non-inclusive, biased atmosphere in one of our most essential government agencies. We're calling upon Congress to reconsider the OPM nomination of John Gibbs.

On April 9, 2019, we submitted a statement for the record to the House Judiciary Committee’s hearing on “Hate Crimes and the Rise of White Nationalism”. Everyone in society has a role to play in countering white nationalism. It's time that Congress recognizes this divisive and dangerous ideology that knows no borders or religion as a legitimate threat. -

On October 4, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee held a confirmation hearing on Kansas Governor Sam Brownback as Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom. The Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) provided the Senators with background information and questions that they should pose to Brownback. -
