GRASSROOTS ACTIVISM: BUILDING FROM THE GROUND UP

From the time of the Prophet Muhammad, Muslims have respected the time-honored tradition of building from the ground up, rather than from the top-down for social justice. This important session will explore the relationship between grassroots efforts and national organizations in making positive changes that benefit everyone in society. If you consider yourself a grassroots activist or want to learn more about how to become one, you will want to attend this session!

The four-day convention features renowned speakers and scholars and also includes a bazaars and entertainment. This year’s convention also includes special guest speaker former U.S. President Jimmy Carter.
