Join MPAC at the 51st Annual ISNA Convention in Detroit, MI, the weekend of Aug. 29 through Sept. 1. Mark your calendars for MPAC President Salam Al-Marayati’s two sessions at ISNA, where he will be speaking about grassroots activism and working in the media industry.  Don’t forget to visit MPAC at booth 622 at the bazaar!

From the time of the Prophet Muhammad, Muslims have respected the time-honored tradition of building from the ground up, rather than from the top-down for social justice. This important session will explore the relationship between grassroots efforts and national organizations in making positive changes that benefit everyone in society. If you consider yourself a grassroots activist or want to learn more about how to become one, you will want to attend this session!

The four-day convention features renowned speakers and scholars and also includes a bazaars and entertainment. This year’s convention also includes special guest speaker former U.S. President Jimmy Carter.
