Join Lekovic at #BringBackOurGirls Interfaith Vigil in L.A.
June 10, 2014

As the world anxiously awaits the return of nearly 300 kidnapped school girls to their families in Nigeria, MPAC is joining forces with Los Angeles’ interfaith community for the #BringBackOurGirls Interfaith Vigil and Call to Action on Tuesday, June 10 at 7 p.m. at Wilshire Boulevard Temple. Join MPAC’s Director of Policy and Programming Edina Lekovic, who will be among the speakers, for this important event.
Two months to the day after the abduction of the schoolgirls in Nigeria, the goal behind the event is to bring together members from Los Angeles’ diverse faith and civic communities in a collective call to action to end gender-based violence worldwide and encourage Congress to pass the International Violence Against Women Act (IVAWA).
