Dr. Hathout to Receive Shura Council's 'Lifetime Service' Award

The Islamic Shura Council of Southern California will be honoring Dr. Maher Hathout, MPAC Senior Adviser and former Shura Council Chairman, with the "2014 Lifetime Service" award and its annual conference and banquet.
"Dr. Hathout's selfless service to the Muslim community and the society at large is a benchmark for everyone in public service. On behalf of the Islamic Shura Council and also on behalf of Muslim communities, I thank Dr. Hathout and his family for their dedication and sacrifices for the good of others," said Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi, Chairman of the Shura Council. "I invite the community to join me and Dr. Hathout at the Shura Council annual banquet on Saturday March 1st to celebrate Dr. Hathout's life long body of work and be inspired."
Dr. Hathout is a leading spokesperson for the American Muslim community and a retired physician best known for his tireless commitment to public service. He is an international figure who is highly regarded as a positive voice of Islam offering a unique and valuable perspective on national and international issues involving Muslims.
