Videos
On July 30, 2026 By MPAC
The Department of Homeland Security's Nonprofit Security Grant Program was created to help protect vulnerable houses of worship, but is it doing so equitably? Dr. Sarah Mohamed breaks down her latest research at MPAC's Center for Security, Technology, and Policy, which analyzed more than $850 million in federal security grants and found that Muslim institutions received just 3.8% of the funding despite rising threats against American Muslim communities. Watch to learn why MPAC is calling for a fair, transparent security grant process that protects every faith community. ---------- Subscribe to MPAC's channel: http://bit.ly/MPACYouTube Like MPAC on Facebook: http://fb.com/mpacnational Follow MPAC on Twitter: http://twitter.com/mpac_national Follow MPAC on Instagram: http://instagram.com/mpac_national Visit MPAC's website: http://mpac.org About the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) We improve public understanding and policies that impact American Muslims by engaging our government, media, and communities. Hijab on the Hill | Speaking with American Muslim Interns

Videos
On July 23, 2026 By MPAC
Events like Hijab on the Hill are so important because they make visible what has always been true: American Muslims belong in every space where our country's future is being shaped. Seeing Muslim women, especially hijabis, walking the halls of Congress, meeting with elected officials, and hearing directly from Muslim Members of Congress is incredibly powerful. It reminds young Muslim women that their faith and their American identity are not in conflict, they strengthen one another. This isn't just about representation. It's about presence. It's about ensuring Muslim voices are part of the conversations that shape our communities and our country. When we show up, build relationships, and engage in public service, we're helping create a government that better reflects the diversity and values of America. ---------- Subscribe to MPAC's channel: http://bit.ly/MPACYouTube Like MPAC on Facebook: http://fb.com/mpacnational Follow MPAC on Twitter: http://twitter.com/mpac_national Follow MPAC on Instagram: http://instagram.com/mpac_national Visit MPAC's website: http://mpac.org About the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) We improve public understanding and policies that impact American Muslims by engaging our government, media, and communities. Hijab on the Hill on Capitol Hill | American Muslim Representation

Videos
On July 23, 2026 By MPAC
Shalina Effendi, MPAC's Congressional Leadership Development Program Manager, brought together an incredible gathering yesterday to celebrate, uplift, and amplify the presence of hijabis and Muslim women on Capitol Hill. In partnership with ISF, MPSN, CMSA, and MAPS, the event convened the next generation of Muslim leaders for an inspiring conversation with Members of Congress including Rep. Lateefah Simon, Rep. Rashida Tlaib, and Rep. André Carson. Representation matters. When young Muslim women see themselves reflected in positions of leadership and public service, they are reminded that they belong in every room where decisions are made, and that their voices have the power to shape our nation's future. ---------- Subscribe to MPAC's channel: http://bit.ly/MPACYouTube Like MPAC on Facebook: http://fb.com/mpacnational Follow MPAC on Twitter: http://twitter.com/mpac_national Follow MPAC on Instagram: http://instagram.com/mpac_national Visit MPAC's website: http://mpac.org About the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) We improve public understanding and policies that impact American Muslims by engaging our government, media, and communities.
