We joined the International Museum of Muslim Cultures for a conversation that rethinks the connection of the Civil Rights and African American Muslim Movements as parallel movements to one Freedom Struggle in America. Okolo Rashid, co-founder of the International Museum of Muslim Cultures in Jackson, Mississippi, presented her emerging research on the convergence of these two movements having produced a unique religious-based social justice model.
